Europe Honeymoon Packages

Where in Western Europe should I go to on Vacation? Keep in mind the value of the American Dollar to foreign $

I want to take my girlfriend to Europe for Vacation. I really wanted to go to London but I'm worried I'll blow my entire budget on day to day activities like eating and transportation. What other countries/cities in Eastern Europe would be a good choice if I'm trying to be frugal? Here are my requirements: -7 Days -When on vacation I don't like to sit. I need plenty to do. -Nothing in Spain -Would prefer a city with plenty of history I'm entertaining the ideas of Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, etc. But please throw in your own Ideas. PROXIMITY TO THE OCEAN WOULD BE AWESOME!

  1. Then don't go to Swizerland. It is the most expensive by far. Belgium, Germany, Italy and Netherlands are all on the Euro so only difference would be localized price differences. If I were you and on a budget I'd go to Eastern Europe. Prices are generally lower there. I would definately check out Budapest, Hungary and maybe Prauge then head to Greece. Budepest is great with beautiful women, lots of history and cheaper than the other countries in the EU.
  2. Everyone thinks the UK is really expensive! It's not! Like anywhere, we've got expensive restruants and stuff, but really it's not to bad. The tube is ok, maybe $8 a day for the tube which is by far the best way to ger round london.
  3. Go to Dubrovnik in Croatia. The costs in eastern Europe are not as high as in the west, and Dubrovnik is one of the world's special places. http://www.croatia.hr/English/Default.aspx http://www.shermanstravel.com/destinations/spotlight_on/Dubrovnik
  4. Prague, Czech Republic You can stay outside of the city in a charming old world bed and breakfast. Visit almost anywhere in the country by car during the day, and enjoy the city by night.
  5. Any country that is using the Euro (or pegged to it) is going to be more expensive to American's than it was a year ago. Eastern Europe (depending on where you go even) and then Balkans are somewhat cheaper. However you can also consider the UK but somewhere other than London as this is desperately expensive. The UK pound has followed the trend of the dollar closely against the Euro, so for American's there will not be a big difference in the prices of the UK compared with a year or so ago There are so many places to go, depending on what you like e.g. somewhere like Scotland is great. You can visit Edinburgh for a bit of life, atmosphere etc, and the West of Scotland is truly beautiful with the mountains, lochs etc. Accommodation is cheap and plentiful and you can travel around in relative ease. Just an idea.... it's a shame because so few American tourists venture outside of London, and yet it is so easy (language, culture etc) for Americans to vist more of the UK Oh and of course the UK is an island - so plently of places by the sea!
  6. Prague and the Check Republic are affordable and have just as much history and atmosphere as the other locations you listed!
