She holds a Belarus passport so she would normally need a visa. Does having a green card eliminate the need for a visa, as it would if you had a US passport?

advice for Europe vacation.? I'm looking into vacationing in europe over the summer, but most travel websites only have packages that stay in one destination the whole time (i.e. 7 days in Paris). I would like to visit several countries if i make the trip. Why do most Americans only want to travel to Europe? Frankly, I'm kinds of disppointed that most people I know, when they travel out of the states, are only willing to travel to Europe (or Cancun). I'm an American, but it's frustrating that almost everyone I know that travels only goes to Europe for vacation if they leave the country at all. It's like everyone in the USA thinks the only worthwhile place outside of the US is Europe...as if other cultures around the world are inferior or "too foreign" or populated with "people that don't look like me, so I don't care about them." Seriously, why do so many Americans have such limited desires when it comes to travel? Sometimes I think it's a subtle form of racism...most Americans are White and they only want to be around other White people, so Europe is the only place that interests them. I know not all trevellers are this way, but many are. One of my professors even told me he only goes places where he can read the street signs (i.e. only Europe), and he was proud of this fact? Sad?

Why do people in Europe call vacation going on holiday? Those are two different things! Vacation is when you earn time off from work, you take the time off and you maybe take a trip somewhere with your family or friends. Holiday is something like Christmas or New Years, a certain day out of the year where pretty much everyone takes off the same day to celebrate the holiday. I always hear Europeans on here talking about what i would call a vacation, only they call it Holiday. Such as the case with the Mccanns for example, they say their daughter was kidnapped while they were on Holiday in Portugal.
